Liza is an American cartoonist and writer, best known for her work in The New Yorker and as resident CBS News cartoonist. Liza is the creator of digital live drawing, a form of journalism wherein she draws using a tablet and shares visual reports of events and news on social media. She has drawn this way for numerous media outlets, including CBS News, The New Yorker, Fusion, and NBC, as well as covered live the Oscars, Democratic National Convention, 2017 Presidential Inauguration, and 2020 Democratic debates. Liza writes a regular column for Medium on politics and global women's rights, and is the author of 17 books.

Illustration Institute raises appreciation for and awareness of illustration in its many forms.
